We are a YPAD Certified Dance Studio
At Anchor Bay Dance Center, the safety and well-being of our students will always come first. We are proud to be a fully YPAD Certified Studio through Youth Protection Advocates in Dance (YPAD), a nationally recognized organization dedicated to advancing safety standards and healthy practices within dance education. |

Being YPAD Certified means our studio has completed extensive training and implemented policies designed to protect the physical, emotional, and developmental well-being of every child who walks through our doors.
Our certification includes ongoing education and accountability in areas such as: • Abuse awareness and prevention • Safe physical and emotional training practices • Age-appropriate choreography, music, and costuming • Injury prevention and dancer wellness • Concussion awareness and response • Healthy body image and mental wellness • Leadership development and positive studio culture • Safety policies and emergency preparedness |

At ABDC, our instructors and staff are committed to creating a nurturing environment where students feel safe, respected, encouraged, and empowered to grow both as dancers and as individuals. Our team maintains ongoing professional development, including CPR/First Aid certification, safety education, and continuing training in youth development and dancer wellness.
We believe dance education should build confidence, discipline, integrity, leadership, and community — never fear, intimidation, or unhealthy pressure. Our goal is not only to train strong dancers, but to help shape strong, resilient, compassionate young people.
This commitment extends to every program we offer, including our recreational classes, competitive company, and our inclusive DanceAbilities program for dancers with differing abilities and needs.
